Train No. 21

Writing a train song seemed appropriate for Robert and Mary Rose. Please enjoy our song about the historical Montana Railroad (a.k.a The Jawbone) circa 1907.

Robert grew up loving steam trains and Mary Rose comes from a railroad family so a train song comes naturally to both of them. We discovered the history of the Montana Railroad while getting married at the Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks. It captured our imaginations and revealed itself over the next few days while we were snowed in in Bozeman instead of touring the Union Pacific Steam Shop in Cheyenne Wyoming (which was the original plan.) We found it easy to imagine being “snowed in on the Jawbone” in this setting. We dedicate this song to Evangeline who was born in the shadow of the Judith Mountains. With love…
