We have lost our friend

Robert (aka. Howdy) here. It has been a couple of weeks now and I think I can finally begin to deal to the loss of my dearest and oldest friend. Stewart Joseph (aka. Rowdy) passed on September 14th and with his passing we have lost a very large chunk of Old Wood.

Mary Rose and I were sitting last night reminiscing about our early exploits back in the day and she pulled out a page from a legal pad where she had jotted down the songs that we played one night back in the winter of 1982. We thought we’d share that with everyone.

This list is captures a moment in time and takes me back. It breaks me. It is as notable both for the songs on the list as those that are not. I will miss the man, the music, and the joy that we all found together through those many years. Roll on gypsy, roll on…
